Panama Canal guide: Miraflores and transits

The Panama Canal is lived two ways: from the Miraflores terraces or by sailing it. To see ships, arrive before 11am or after 3pm, when transits peak.

The Visitor Center adds museum, film and viewpoints: plan half a day. To sail locks and the Gaillard Cut, the half-day partial transit is the full experience.
